Lesson Program
Hunter's Edge is dedicated to providing the highest quality and safest riding instruction possible. Confidence, respect, and responsibility are all integral parts of the instructional program. We emphasize a strong foundation for jumping, focusing on position, correct equitation, and effective aids.
At Hunter's Edge we have a lovely balance of both children & adult students. Our instructors are wonderful at teaching all ages, as are our lesson horses & ponies.

Cancellation Policy: In order to keep our lesson program efficient, affordable, and to maintain the quality of horses, instruction and lesson time options; we require at least 24 hours notice for cancellation of a lesson, without exception. If you do not call the office to cancel your lesson 24 hours or more in advance or if you do not show up for your scheduled lesson, you will be charged for your lesson. If you have package credit, the lesson will be automatically debited from your package; otherwise, you will be charged your regular lesson amount that will need to be paid before you may ride the next time.
We suggest that if you have any doubts about being able to attend the lesson due to illness or conflict, go ahead and cancel 24 hours in advance; in the majority of cases we will be able to put you or your child back on the schedule if the conflict or illness clears up before the lesson time. Our office can also work with you to reschedule.

Our quality lesson program is designed for horse lovers of all ages (lessons for both adults and children as young as 2), and experience levels who desire to learn or improve their skills in riding the disciplines of Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation.
With experienced instructors and horses you can look forward to each lesson being fun, safe, and educational.
We offer lesson horses from beginner to advanced, from small pony to full size horses. For all of our lesson programs, we provide all the tack (including saddles) and grooming supplies. Riders are required to have their own riding riding attire.
Lil Breeches Lead Line Lessons:
For our lil' breeches riders from ages 2-3 we have developed the Lead Line Lesson program. This program is designed for children who are interested in horses but are not yet old enough for the demands of regular lessons. The shortened lessons will teach children the basics of riding as well as caring for their mount. Lessons are a half an hour long, and are always private for the safety of our students. Riding lessons for young riders is excellent for muscle development, coordination, and strength. They are also a great way to build confidence in your child.
Adult & kids 4 & up:
Lessons for all beginners are 1 hour long, and private. Lessons cover from getting the horse out, tacking up, riding, and putting the horse away. Our beginner lessons stay private as long as needed.
Experienced riders who can tack on their own are welcome to arrive prior to their lessons time to tack their horses. If their riding lesson remains private, lessons are 30-40 minutes long. If you are riding in a group (no more than 4, but usually smaller!), lessons will be an hour long.
Groom service is also available Tues - Sun for additional cost.
