Meet the Lessons Horses

Meet Diego aka Just Comes Naturally. Diego is a Hanovarian gelding that has been with HEF since 2008. Diego is a huge asset to our program. He will pack around a beginner, or power up over a jumper course, then turn around and jump a hunter course like a champ.

Picture coming soon - Perfect Image aka Image is a Medium Pony who has been there, and done that. Image courses up to 2'6, has auto changes and will win in the show ring. Image is available to an HEF student for a half lease.

simply Irresistible aka Scarlett has been a long time client horse at Hunter's Edge. Scarlett is now older and retired from her very big children's hunter career. she is a fantastic mare with auto changes, and jumps up to 2'3". Scarlett will be bred to the hanssen families stallion "crazy in love" in the spring of 2012

Meet Scooter! Scooter was born in 1998, and is an Arabian gelding, who has been owned by head trainer (Denise Finch) since he was born. But around HEF we joke that he doesn't know he is an Arabian, he thinks he is a warmblood. Scooter is apprx 14.2 hands which makes him great for the little ones transitioning off of ponies, or our smaller adults. Scooter is great for all level riders jumping up to 2'6"

This is Shadow aka Platinum Edition. Shadow has been with HEF for the past six years, and our lesson program for the past 5. He is a thoroughbred gelding standing at 16.2 hands. Shadow was a brilliant jumper for a former HEF client, but now he is our flat work master. Shadow does all his lateral work, collection/extension, lead changes and more. He is ideal for both beginners as well as our advanced students wanting to progress in upper level flat work.

Say hi to Dugan aka Made Ya Look. Dugan is a 10 year old Dutch Warmblood. Dugan is not a lesson horse, but is a horse available to HEF clients for a fee lease. Dugan has an impeccable show record, and is just a peach of a horse. Dugan courses 2'9" and under, and is a great teacher for riders of all levels. Dugan is currently leased through July of 2012 by Laura fernandez

Caesar is a lovely small welsh pony. he is our expert in making kids feel comfortable & safe. caesar is a fabulous both off and on the lunge line, and has taught countless children to walk, trot, canter, and jump.

(Picture coming soon) Ginger is one of our lesson ponies. She is a large-small pony with a wonderful disposition. Ginger is traveling with the barn to horse shows at the moment so that she can gain some more experience to be able to take our students to horse shows in the future.

Georgio is a 9 year old imported Oldenburg gelding who specializes in the equitation. Georgio is currently leased to jillian hyde for the 2012 season, and will be available for lease again in november 2012. georgio's lease is fee based. This beautiful horse has outstanding flat work, a beautiful presence, and a ten jump.
